Watch of the Day

OW 5917 Hamilton 16 size, Hayden W. Wheeler Special 2 finger bridge model, 17 jewels, railroad grade, excellent yellow gold filled triple hinged open face case, double sunk porcelain dial, signed Enos E. Perry, arabic numerals, blue spade hands, Hayden W. Wheeler Special 2 finger bridge model nickel movement with wavy damaskeening, signed Enos E. Perry , Springfield, Mass. screw down gold jewel settings, gold center wheel, marked adjusted, micrometric regulator, (275002) The Hamilton Factory ledger indicates the watch was completed 4-4-04 and sold 3-28-08, This is an excellent example of a very hard to find watch! Only 618 of the 17 jewel open face Hayden W. Wheeler Special 2 finger bridge models were ever made. An interesting note: The Hayden W. Wheeler watches broke with Hamilton's way of designating open face and hunting case movements. An even serial number on a Hayden W. Wheeler movement indicates an open face movement, while an odd serial number indicates a hunting case movement. Hayden W. Wheeler also had a number of standard Hamilton 3/4 plate movements made for them by Hamilton, but the Special Bridge models were made in small numbers. They are very hard to find in this condition. $2250.00 plus S/H VIEW
